Mr. Robertson transitioned from this life on Thursday, July 16, 2020 at Roanoke Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Roanoke, Randolph County, Alabama.
William was born May 9, 1938 in Wedowee, Alabama to the parentage of the late Major and Bertha (Turner) Robertson. The Robertson family homesteaded in the Malone Community on what was known as the Malone Road. A life-long resident of Randolph County and a Christian man, he attended Friendship Baptist Church, in the "Broughton" community for most of his life. William was very fond of the outdoors, where he was in his element when fishing, hunting and gardening. He loved raising peas, corn, okra and tomatoes. He was so skillful in growing these vegetables that he sold tomatoes to the local restaurants.
He married the late Lera (Wright) Robertson to whom he was faithfully wed for over 62 years. Lera preceded William in death on March 17, 2020.
William was self-employed, for more than 40 years providing his services in the field of general construction and the logging industry. William transitioned from this life on Thursday, July 16, 2020. He was at Roanoke Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Roanoke, AL.
