It is with deeply broken hearts that the Johnson family of Wedowee and Marietta, Georgia must share the devastating news that our beloved brother Zebedee Johnson has left us. He transitioned from this life on Wednesday, August 16, 2023. He was at Heritage Hospice in Marietta, Georgia. Zebedee was so passionate about the things he loved; hunting— fishing — and being outdoors; spending time with family; he was a strong, loving brother, and we are really going to miss our brother. We solicit your prayers as we work toward Celebrating His Home Going. Thank you for the love and prayers. Further details will be forthcoming.
In Loving Memory Of Zebedee Johnson
Zebedee Johnson, 69, son of the late Nathaniel Johnson, Sr., and the late Rosie Ridley Johnson passed away from this life, on August 16, 2023. Zebedee was born August 18, 1953, in Randolph County, Alabama, and later moved to Marietta, Georgia, where he was a resident for over forty years.
As a young man in Randolph County, Mr. Johnson was a Union Chapel United Methodist Church member. Zebedee was no stranger to hard work; He was a laborer in building construction for many years, where he learned many construction craft skills. Zebedee was an all-around outdoorsman; he loved hunting and fishing. However, Mr. Johnson’s most cherished moments were the times he spent making memories with his family and friends.
Zebedee Johnson was proceeded in death by his father Nathaniel Johnson Sr., and his mother the late Rosie Ridley; five brothers: James Johnson, George Johnson, I.V. Johnson, Johnny Johnson, Nathaniel Johnson Jr; and one sister, Geneva Lay, who all welcomed him into his Eternal rest. He transitioned from this life on Wednesday, August 16, 2023. He was at Heritage Hospice in Marietta, Georgia.
He is survived by three sisters: Florence Watts and Linda Smith, both of Wedowee, Alabama, and Judy Johnson from Atlanta, Georgia, were Zebedee's loving sisters; and a host of family and friends from Cobb County, Georgia, and Randolph County to mourn his passing.
