With our deepest and heartfelt sympathy, we inform you of the passing from this life of Mr. Willie B. Foster, 75, a resident of Jackson Avenue, Roanoke, AL. A native and life-long Randolph Countian, Mr. Foster transitioned from this life on Wednesday morning, May 20, 2020 at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Alabama.
Willie B. was born in Randolph County, Alabama on July 15, 1944 to the parentage of the late Eddie B. Foster, Sr. and his wife the late Mrs. Annie Ruth (Smith) Foster. His family of origin included eight children -- four (4) brothers and (4) sisters. Willie B. was preceded in death by all of his brothers: Charlie Will - known as "Hump", Eddie B. Jr. -- known as "Bill" and Robert -- known as "Cooter-Boy".
Willie B. transitioned from this life on Wednesday, May 20, 2020. He was hospitalized at East Alabama Medical Center, Opelika, Alabama.
Willie B. was married to the late Karey Ann (Lynch) Foster. For more than twenty years, Willie B. kept himself busy by working as a self-employed logger, and hauling scrap-iron. He was engaged in this industry until failing health demanded that he end his career. His favorite pastimes were gardening, yard work, and just sitting on the porch enjoying being outside. He was known for being a great outdoorsman. His best friends included Harold Reid, Reverend Joe C. Cofield and Deacon Hubert Patterson.
At this most difficult time, we extend our heartfelt condolences and prayers to his family including his son, Charlie Joe "Chimp" Weaver, of Roanoke, AL; two (2) daughters: Lynn Malone of Atlanta, GA and Latoya Weaver of Roanoke, AL; three (3) sisters: Katherine Tucker (Arthur) of Roanoke, AL, Ruby Thomas of Defuniak Springs, FL, and Jannie Lou Longina of Atlanta, GA; six (6) grandchildren; and four (4) great-grandchildren; a special nephew Bishop Gregory "Beck" Foster (Erma) of Troy, AL; and a great host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
