William Fuller Obituary

With deepest regret, we announce the passing of Brother William Fuller, age 82, a former resident of 495 Clark Street, Roanoke, Randolph County, Alabama 36274.

Mr. Fuller transitioned from this life on Sunday evening, August 3, 2014 at the Emory University Medical Center in Atlanta, Georgia, the culmination of an extended illness.

Public viewing and visitation hours for Mr. Fuller will be observed on Thursday afternoon, August 7, 2014, here at the funeral home between the hours of 12:00 noon and 6:00 PM.

Funeral services will be observed on Friday morning, August 8, 2014, at 2:00 O'Clock PM from the Mount Pisgah Baptist Church, 372 Waller Mill Road, Roanoke, Alabama 36274; The Reverend R. L. Heflin, Pastor, The Reverend Myris L. Bell, Pastor’s Associate Officiating and Minister Danny Wright serving as Eulogist. Other ministers sharing the roster will include: Reverend L.B. Houston, Bishop Lathonia J. Wright.

THE OBITUARY

“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course,

I have kept the faith.” (II Timothy 4:7)


William E. Fuller was the youngest son born in Chambers County, Alabama, July 10, 1932, to the parentage of the late Ernest and Carrie Lee Boyd Fuller. This was a family of boys, including older brothers: Elois and Tony, (both pre-deceased).

At an early age, he joined Peace and Goodwill Baptist Church in Roanoke, Alabama, where he remained a member throughout life. William was one among the hundreds of proud students who attended the Randolph County Training School. He served our grateful nation as a member of the United States Armed Forces.

He was married to the late Hattie Sue Calloway, and their union was blessed with three sons and two daughters. He was preceded in death by a son, Antonio Fuller, and a daughter, Mae Lois Fuller. William was a dedicated maintenance employee for Amoco Fabrics and Fibers for a number of years. He retired, and enjoyed many good years after retirement.

He departed this life on Sunday evening, August 3, 2014 at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, leaving to cherish fond and loving memories, one daughter, Mae Joyce Baker (Lennard) of Sharpsburg, Georgia; and two sons: Otis Fuller (Tonya), and Adam Fuller (Cassandra); two (2) sisters-in-law: Maggie Hill (Alford) and Dorothy Trammell; two (2) brothers-in-law: Curtis Calloway, and David Calloway (Betty), all of Roanoke, Alabama; six (6) grandchildren: four 4) great grandchildren: a God-Grandson, Sydarius Arnold of Sharpsburg, Georgia; several loving nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
