Virgil attended elementary school at Randolph County Training School, in Roanoke. At an early age, he joined First Baptist Church in Roanoke, where he attended for many years. For many years Virgil worked for the City Of Roanoke, Alabama. He also worked at Plantation Patterns for a few years.
Virgil will long be remembered as a very loving and kind person.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Annie Pearl Harris, and his only brother, William Wilson Harris, Jr., who died at age 16. On Wednesday, November 29, Virgil was reunited with family and friends he has not seen in a very long time. Our prayer is that it was a joyful journey home.
