Thelma Hatcher-Bell, Obituary

Mrs. Thelma Ann Hatcher-Bell, age 65, a native of Randolph County, Alabama, residing at 3261 Northwest 15th Street, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33311, will be transported to Alabama From Fort Lauderdale, Florida by way of Atlanta, Georgia for burial on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 2:00 O’Clock P.M. at The Mount Olive United Methodist Church Cemetery, Wadley, Alabama. There will be no visitation or viewing for Mrs. Hatcher-Bell in Roanoke.

On August 27, 1946, the late Eldora (Bussey) Rowe and John Henry Rowe were blessed with the birth of their daughter, Thelma Ann. She was born in Wadley, Randolph County, Alabama.

Although she was loved and will be missed, we know that she is in a better place. Thelma was a loving and caring person that helped everyone.

Sadly, from all indications, Mrs. Hatcher-Bell passed away while parked in the parking facility of Holy Cross Hospital, 4725 North Federal Highway in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where she was being treated for Pancreatic Cancer. She was employed as a Nurses Aide at a local nursing home facility in Fort Lauderdale.

Thelma leaves to cherish her loving memories; one (1) son, Timothy Hatcher (Angela) of Louisville, Georgia; two (2) granddaughters, Ashley Hatcher of Hollywood, Florida and Tempest Hatcher of Forth Lauderdale, Florida; one (1) grandson, Timothy of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; three (3) great-grandchildren: Gmani Batista, Zamari Batista and Josiah Carpenella; four (4) aunts: Doris Rowe and Hazel Rowe both of Fort Pierce, Florida, Ruby Staples (Aaron) and Margaret Arnold (Joe) both of Kansas City, Missouri; six (6) special friends: Lynn Samuel, Verdis Whitehead, Martha JOnes, Rickey Jones, Dolly Richardson and Velvion Bradley; a host of other relatives and friends.

Arrangements in Fort Lauderdale, Florida are being directed by James C. Boyd Funeral Home. Arrangements in Roanoke, Alabama were supervised and directed by Clark Memorial Funeral Service, Roanoke, Alabama.
