Tawana Denise (Snead) Terry

With our deepest and heartfelt sympathy, we inform you of the passing from this life of Ms. Tawana Denise Snead-Terry, 57, a resident of 1301 Austin Street, Apartment B, LaGrange, GA.  Ms. Terry transitioned from this life on Wednesday morning, May 13, 2020 at her residence in LaGrange.

Tawana Denise Snead-Terry, daughter of Carolyn Crocker-Surles and George Snead, was born on May 23, 1963 in Washington, D.C.  Tawana was educated in Washington, D.C. and Maryland public schools.

Tawana was a hard-working single mom who worked multiple jobs at times to make sure her son was cared for.  She was a no nonsense, loving sister.  She loved old school music.  Her favorite singer/group was Frankie Beverly and Mays.

Tawana went home to be with the Lord on May 13, 2020. 

Tawana is survived by her son, Elliott Keys of LaGrange, GA; her fiance' Michael Phillips whom she had planned on marrying on September 30, 2020; her brother, Kenneth Snead of Mechanicsburg, PA and her brother, Ray Terry from Maryland; along with several other siblings.  Tawana is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, one niece and two nephews.

At this most difficult time, we extend our heartfelt condolences and prayers to her family and pray that God will grant them his peace and comfort.
