Samantha L. Paige

Mrs. Samantha L. Page, age 83, currently residing at the Roanoke Health Care Center in Roanoke, passed away on Sunday morning, May 19, 2013 at the Health care Center in Roanoke.

Public viewing and visitation for the late Mrs. Paige will be observed on Friday, May 24, 2013 between the hours of 10:00 A.M. Until 6:00 P.M.

Funeral Services for the late Mrs. Paige will be held Saturday. May 25, 2013, at 11:00 AM at Canaan Missionary Baptist Church (Welch Community), 7485 County Road 278, Roanoke, Alabama with the pastor, Reverend Mario F. McDaniel, officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery at Canaan Missionary Baptist Church.

OBITUARY

Samantha L. Paige was born April 28, 1930 to the parentage of the late Henry Hurston and Nellie Mae Fears in Chambers County, Alabama.

Samantha attended school in Chambers County and joined Canaan Missionary Baptist Church at an early age, where she became a life-long member. She worked in the domestic industry as a housekeeper for most of her working years.

Samantha was united in marriage to the late Chester A. Paige. This union was blessed with 3 children: Mattie, Jesse, and Eddie. She enjoyed family life and activities, and in her younger years she loved to play dominoes.

Mrs. Paige was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband; one (1) son-in-law, Raymond Adamson; one (1) sister, Mildred Roundtree; and three (3) brothers, Robert Wood, Lonza Wood, and James Dupree.

Samantha L. Paige was born into eternity on Sunday morning May 19, 2013, at Roanoke Health Care Center.

She leaves to cherish her memory: two (2) daughters, Mattie Adamson of Roanoke, Al; Felica Kittles (Attis) of Douglasville, Georgia; three (3) sons, Jesse L. Paige (Gladys) of Cincinnati, Ohio; Eddie L. Paige (Jacqueline) of Anniston, Alabama; Arthur C. Paige (Cathy) of Fairfield, Ohio, one (1) brother, Harold Dupree of Buffalo, New York; one (1) sister, Louise Woods of Buffalo, NY; nineteen (19) Grandchildren; fifty-one (51) Great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
