With heavy hearts, we announce the passing from this life of Mrs. Napate Morgan Ware (67), a resident of 304 Piedmont Street, Roanoke, Alabama. Mrs. Ware transitioned from this life on Wednesday October 3, 2018 at the Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Georgia.
Public viewing and visiting hours for Mrs. Ware will be observed on Wednesday, October 10 from 1:00 until 6:00 pm here at the funeral home.
Funeral Services will be observed on Thursday, October 11, at 2:00 pm from the Sword Of The Spirit at Christian Memorial Baptist Church 1644 U.S. Highway 431 North, Roanoke, Alabama. Pastor J. Burnett Jackson; Bishop Lathonia J. Wright, Eulogist. Other ministers sharing the roster will include Elder Keith Nolan and Minister Delvan Houston.
Burial will follow in East Roanoke Cemetery, Chemical Avenue/Avenue "A" Roanoke, Alabama.
In Loving Memory of Mrs. Napate Janette Morgan Ware
Miss Napate Janette Morgan was born in Roanoke, Randolph County, Alabama on January 18, 1951 to the parentage of the late J.C. Morgan and Repatree Sims, also Roanoke natives.
She grew up and attended school in Roanoke, Alabama. A loving wife and mother, Napate was married to Johnny Ware for close to 30 years.
A life-long resident of Roanoke, Napate was a member of New Life Worship Center, where -- as one of the senior women in the church -- she held the distinction of Church Mother. Among all those who knew and loved her, she also had the distinction of being an all-around "Community Grandma." Her home was a place where every child could come eat, play, sleep, and enjoy themselves. Napate loved cooking, big Sunday dinners and being with family and friends.
In addition to both parents, Napate was preceded in death by a son, Casey Frederick Morgan; and siblings: David Morgan, James Calvin Morgan, Gloria Morgan, Susie Anne Morgan; Patricia Ann Morgan. She transitioned from this life on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Georgia.
Mrs. Napate Janette Morgan Ware is survived by a host of family and extended family including: her devoted husband, Johnny Ware of Roanoke, Alabama; six (6) children: Engrid Ogletree of LaGrange, Georgia, Tyia Thompson (Natasha), Salena Remona Owensby (Willie), Robin Thompson, and Robbie Greathouse all of Roanoke; and Henrico Thompson of Montgomery, Alabama; siblings: Minister Ronnie S. Morgan of Roanoke, Alabama, Eddie W. Morgan (Yolanda) of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; J.C. Tatum (Aretha) of Selma, Alabama, Pamela J. Morgan of LaGrange, Georgia, and Katheleen Morgan of Macon, Georgia; five (5) uncles: Douglas Sims, Grady Sims (Catherine), Reverend A.J. Sims (Ann), and Arthur Ray Sims (Barbara), Ivis Sims (Vanessa) all of Wedowee, Alabama; four (4) aunts: Faye Smith, Eva Houston, and Annie Marsh of Wedowee, Alabama, and Lovie Tyler of Atlanta, Georgia; a God-Daughter Felicia Nolan of Tallassee, Alabama; and finally but not least, Mamie Bell (Wilkes), a special cousin from Carrollton, Georgia; many many loving friends, neighbors, and extended family.
