It is with our deepest and heartfelt sympathy that we inform you of the passing from this life of Ms. Nancy Mae Hughley, 61, a resident of 346 Mitchell Street, Roanoke, Alabama. Ms. Hughley transitioned from this life on Saturday, April 4, 2020 at her residence in, Roanoke, Randolph County, Alabama.

Ms. Nancy Mae Hughley was born in Camp Hill, Tallapoosa County, Alabama on February 18, 1958 to the parentage of the late Ezra and Estella (Spratling) Hughley. Throughout her life, she resided back and forth between Camp Hill and Roanoke. She finally settled in Roanoke, where she completed her transition on Saturday.

Nancy was a Christian woman, and enjoyed attending New Life Worship Center in Roanoke.

During her childhood, Nancy Mae had to pick cotton in order to make a living; but she also loved cooking and eventually engaged in food service work. In addition to cooking, she also enjoyed crocheting blankets and hair culture. Nancy loved hair-styling and always wanted to be a cosmetologist. She was an "Old School" music junkie as well.

Nancy's home going gives rise to many cherished memories which will be shared by her four (4) children: Richard Hughley (Daina Jeter), Maleta Diane Hughley, Willie Lewis Hughley (Rochele Leana Hughley), and Tanya Hughley Bell all of Roanoke, Alabama; two (2) brothers: Larry Hughley of Auburn, Alabama and Tommy Lee Hughley of Birmingham, Alabama; eleven (11) grandchildren; two (2) great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends -- far too many to name.

Services for Ms. Hughley are pending and will be announced.
