With deepest regret, we announce the passing of Mrs. Ethel Lee Buchanan, 95 of 1658 Coolidge Street, Wadley, Alabama. Mrs. Buchanan transitioned from this life on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at her home in Wadley, Alabama.
Public Viewing and Visiting hours for Mrs. Buchanan will be observed on Monday, October 6, 2014, between the hours of 12:00 Noon and 6:00 PM at Clark Memorial Funeral Service, 252 Lafayette Highway, Roanoke, Alabama.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Buchanan will be observed on Tuesday, October 7, 2014, at 1:00 PM from the Mount Zion Baptist Church, 14819 Highway 22 East, Daviston, Alabama 36256, with the Pastor, Reverend Bradley Gibson Officiating. Other ministers sharing the roster will include the Reverend William H. Trammell and Bishop Tom Staples, Jr.
Burial will follow in the Cogar Hill C.M.E. Church cemetery, Frederick Ferry Road, Daviston, Alabama.

THE OBITUARY
Mrs. Ethel Lee Buchanan, entered this earthly life on March 4, 1919. She was the daughter of the late John and Mattie (Knight) Lindsey.
She was a life-long and dedicated member of the Mount Zion Baptist Church, Daviston, Alabama, where she remained a faithful member until her home going.
She united in marriage with the late Mr. Ananias Buchanan. Their union was fruitful, giving rise to ten (10) children; five (5) sons, and five (5) daughters.
She was preceded in death by both parents, her husband, the late Ananias Buchanan; three (3) sons: Ananias Buchanan, Jr., John David Buchanan, and most recently, Curtis Buchanan.
Her battle fought, victory won, Sister Buchanan entered into her Master's joy on Wednesday, October 1, 2014, while in the comfort of her own home, with many family members around her.
She leaves to cherish many loving memories: two (2) sons: Travis Buchanan (Rudean) of Daviston, Alabama and Joe Buchanan (Hazel) of Birmingham, Alabama; five (5) daughters: Mattie Staples, Mary Staples, and Clemis Ann Bledsoe (Dennis) all of Wadley, Alabama; Ruby Dean Buchanan (Earnest) of Birmingham, Alabama, and Alice Lewis of Daviston, Alabama; a God Daughter, Ann Morrison; one brother-in-law, A.J. Buchanan of New York; three (3) sisters-in-law: Mary Buchanan and Naomi Slaughter of Daviston, Alabama, and Essie Mae Lewis of Mobile, Alabama; twenty-five (25) grandchildren; fifty-six (56) great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
