With deepest regret we announce the passing from this life of Ms. Emma Dora Howell, 81, a native of Chambers County, Alabama, and long-time resident of 206 LaFayette Street, Roanoke, Alabama
Public visitation and viewing hours for Ms. Howell will be observed on Friday, June 26, 2015 beginning at 12:00 NOON until 6:00 PM
Funeral Services for Ms. Howell will be observed on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 1:00 O’Clock PM at Rehope Baptist Church, 5267 County Road 258, LaFayette, AL 36862.
Presiding will be Reverend Bruce O. Alford, and the Eulogist will be the Pastor, Reverend Dr. H. L. Jones. Other ministers sharing the roster on Saturday will include: Bishop Lathonia Wright, Evangelist Virtie Trammell, Reverend William H. Trammell, Reverend L.B. Houston, The Reverend Jeffery Rosser.
Burial will follow immediately afterward in the adjoining cemetery at Rehope Baptist Church.

In Loving Memory of Emma Dora Howell
Ms. Emma Howell was born November 27, 1933 in Chambers County, Alabama,
to the parentage of the late Fonzie and Lena Higgins Howell.
She was a long-time member of Rehope Baptist Church, Lafayette, Alabama. And for many years, she was part of the historic East Roanoke District.
Prior to graduating into her senior season -- and during the more productive years of her life, she worked as a seamstress for both Roanoke Fashions, and Terry Manufacturing Company in Roanoke. Afterwards, she enjoyed a long active retirement, sharing many fond moments with her children and grandchildren.
Ms. Howell passed from this life on Monday, June 23, 2015, at her residence in
Roanoke.
Ms. Howell is survived by one (1) son, Tyra Slaughter of Xena, Ohio and two (2) daughters, Rita Glover (Stanley) of LaGrange, Georgia and Susan Slaughter of Roanoke, Alabama; three (3) sisters: Rosie Ethel Gunn of LaFayette, Alabama; Respie Dunson of Dayton, Ohio; Minnie; and a brother Lonnie Howell, many beloved grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.
