With sadness, we announce the passing of Mrs. Shirley Ann (Shears) Henry, 40 of 354 Borders Street, Roanoke, Alabama. Mrs. Henry transitioned from this life on Sunday evening, October 5, 2014 at Wedowee Hospital in Wedowee, Alabama.
Public Visiting and Viewing hours for Mrs. Henry will be observed on Thursday, October 9, 2014, between the hours of 12:00 Noon and 6:00 PM.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 10, 2014, at 11:00 O'clock AM from the Wehadkee Missionary Baptist Church, 1216 County Road 310, Roanoke, Alabama, with the Reverend Myris L. Bell, Officiating, and pastor, Reverend Elijah Jackson, Jr., serving as Eulogist. Also sharing the roster will be the Reverend Claude Bell, and the Reverend Michael Winston.
Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery at Wehadkee Missionary Baptist Church, immediately following the services.

THE OBITUARY
Ms. Shirley Ann Shears was born in Randolph County, Alabama on December 15, 1973 to the parentage of Mr. George Edward "Snag" Shears, Sr., and Mrs. Farris Stevens Jackson.
At an early age, she confessed Christ, and joined Wehadkee Missionary Baptist Church, in Roanoke, Alabama, where she remained a faithful member until her home going.
Shirley grew up in Randolph County, and attended Rock Mills Jr. High School, and later Randolph County High School. She worked briefly at Plantation Patterns, and Amoco Fabrics and Fibers.
On September 25, 2010, she was united in marriage with Mr. Robert Lee Henry.
Shirley was preceded in death by her step-father, Clarence Tucker, Sr., and a sister, Latasha Denise Shears; Shirley entered into her Master's joy on Sunday evening, October 5, 2014, at Wedowee Hospital in Wedowee, Alabama.
She leaves to cherish many loving memories: her devoted husband, Mr. Robert Lee Henry of Roanoke, Alabama; two (2) sons: Brandon Terrelle Shears of Clio, Alabama and Tymon Nakia Evans of Roanoke, Alabama; one (1) daughter: Latasha Latrese Battle of Roanoke, Alabama; her parents: Reverend and Mrs. Elijah and Farris Jackson of Lanett, Alabama and Mr. George Edward Shears, Sr., of Atlanta, Georgia; eight brothers: George Edward "Flip" Shears, Jr., Jeremy Savoy Shears and Harold Eugene Tucker of Roanoke, Alabama; Gregory Lamar Shears of Sylacauga, Alabama; Clarence Tucker, Jr. of Wedowee, Alabama, Ricky Denoy Tucker of Lanett, Christopher B.L. Jackson (Sharon) of Lawrenceville, Georgia; and Reverend Lace Jackson (Lynn) of Kannapolis, North Carolina; six (6) sisters: Sherry Shena Bush (Clifford) of Cusseta, Alabama; Sabrina Lusha Shears, Whitney Danielle Tucker, Brittney Chanelle Tucker and Angela B. Tucker all of Roanoke, Alabama; and Mary Funcello Jackson (Norman) of LaGrange, Georgia; two very special friends: Faye Parker of Wedowee, Alabama and LaRue Johnson of Roanoke, Alabama; several nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
