The Obituary
Miss Priscilla Tatum was born on September 17, 1963 to the parentage of the late Johnny and Louise Hughley Tatum in Roanoke, Randolph County, Alabama.

Priscilla grew up in Roanoke, Alabama where she attended Handley High School. At an early age, she joined Mount Pisgah Baptist Church. In November of 1991, Priscilla was united in marriage with Mr. John William Higgins to whom she remained faithfully wed for nearly 25 years. After marriage, she moved her membership and united with the Saint Paul Baptist Church, where she remained a faithful member until her transition.

In the prime of her life, Priscilla worked in the health care field at Rosser Nursing Home. She also was a production worker at Unistitch in Roanoke. But, her true passion in life was growing things. Her family and all who knew and loved her will hold fast to heart warming memories of her gift of the "green thumb" which she enjoyed and d with all of her special friends and neighbors. Priscilla was a quiet but always pleasant and very generous person -- always ready to help a neighbor or friend.

Priscilla could grow anything and everything from beautiful flowers to delicious garden vegetables, and she enjoyed it so much that she often tasked herself with keeping the flowers going at Saint Paul.

She was preceded in death by her parents Johnny and Louise Tatum. Priscilla transitioned from this life on Suday around 12:00 Noon at Roanoke Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Roanoke, Alabama.

Mrs. Priscilla Higgins leaves to cherish many loving memories: her devoted spouse, Deacon John William Higgins of Roanoke, Alabama; two (2) sons: Kelvin Tatum of Florida and Jesse Tatum (Tameka) of Atlanta, Georgia; and one (1) daughter, Debra Tatum of Roanoke, Alabama; two (2) brothers: Johnny Tatum (Rochelle) of Wedowee, Alabama, and J.C.
