Mrs. Linda Calloway Obituary

With deepest sympathy, we announce the passing from this life of Mrs. Linda (Johnson) Calloway, age 67, a resident of 750 Seymour Drive, Apartment #5 in Roanoke, Alabama. Mrs. Calloway transitioned from this life on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Wedowee Hospital in Wedowee, Alabama.

Public viewing and visiting hours for Mrs. Calloway will be observed on Tuesday, March 8, 2016, beginning at 1:00 O'Clock pm.

Services for Mrs. Calloway will conclude on Tuesday evening, March 8, 2016, when the family receives friends between the hours of 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm here at the funeral home.


The Obituary

Miss Linda Johnson was born in the "Flatwood" community of Randolph County, on September 13, 1948 to the parentage of the late Reverend James Charlie Johnson and Eula Alberta Kidd Johnson.

In 1969, she was united in marriage with Mr. Curtis Calloway. Their marriage gave rise to six children, all girls. She worked for a time as a housekeeper at Randolph County Hospital; she later resigned to take care of her children.

Mrs. Calloway was preceded in death by her parents. Mrs. Calloway transitioned from this life on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Wedowee Hospital in Wedowee, Alabama, after an extended illness.

She leaves to cherish many loving memories: her husband, Mr. Curtis Calloway of Roanoke, Alabama; six (6) daughters: Shirley Calloway (Karry), Samantha Calloway (Chris), Ramona Fluharty (Gary); Patricia Calloway, and Marie Cannon (Michael) all of Roanoke, Alabama; and Kim Evans of Atlanta, Georgia; and twelve (12) grandchildren: Quaneeka Calloway, Quaina Shears, J'aKayla Fluharty, Tremaine Haynes and Ashley Haynes, Ra'Keem Dozier, Shy'Keria Bell, and Jamicah Cannon, all of Roanoke, Alabama; and Shaneeka Shears Staples (Kelsey) of Auburn, Alabama, Dwain A. Evans, Jr., Taneesha Jones (Alan) and Tiffany Evans (Adrian) all of Atlanta, Georgia; one (1) brother, Charles M. Johnson of Detroit, Michigan; and one (1) sister, Prestella Robinson of Atlanta, Georgia; and finally but not least, a host of loving relatives, neighbors, and friends.
