Laura believed in the sanctity of FAMILY and encouraged family gatherings to bring everyone closer. She loved to cook, clean and take care of children — especially, her grandchildren; and there wasn’t anything that she would not do for them.
Over the years, Laura worked for St. Anthony’s Hospital and retired from her position as Dietary Aide Supervisor after 32 years of faithful service.
Laura's life's journey was completed on Thursday, December 12, 2013 at her home in St. Petersburg, Florida, bringing a swift yet peaceful end to her 84-year walk with God. She is preceded in death by three of her sons: Clarence Foster, Gregory Bernard Hinton and Thomas Hinton. Precious memories of Laura; a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend will linger in the hearts of those she leaves behind forever:
four (4) sons: Claxton Hinton (Sylathia) of San Diego, California, Jerome Hinton, Sr. of Arcadia, Florida, Stanley Jones, Sr. (Tracy), Everett Foster, Sr. and Johnny Dallas all of St. Petersburg, Florida; two (2) daughters: Diane McNair, and Lucreaticia Foster both of St. Petersburg, Florida; two (2) brothers: Amos Foster, Sr. of Roanoke, Alabama and George Foster (Edna) of Crystal River, Florida; four (5) sisters: Sally Foster, Judy Williams, Peggy Fleming, and Doris Evans (John), all of St. Petersburg, Florida; and Lelar Williams of Roanoke, Alabama; twenty-five (25) grandchildren; fifty-three (53) great grandchildren; one (1) great-great grandchild and finally a great host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
