In Loving Memory of Josephine Harris Morgan

Miss. Josephine Harris was one of four children, born in Roanoke, Randolph County, Alabama on October 13, 1949 to the parentage of the late William Wilson Harris and Annie Pearl (Lee) Harris.

She attended school at the Randolph County Training School in Roanoke, Alabama.

She united in marriage with the late William Houston, who preceded her in death, May 3, 2006. Their union gave rise to four (4) children -- one daughter, and three sons. She later united in marriage to Minister Ronnie S. Morgan of Roanoke, Alabama.

They joined and attended Spirit Of the Living God Praise & Worship Center in Wadley, Alabama, where Apostle William Heard serves as pastor.

Josephine was preceded in death by both her parents, Mr and Mrs. William Wilson Harris; her younger brother, William Wilson Harris, Jr., who died at age 16; and most recently, her brother, Virgil Lee Harris. She transitioned from this earthly life on Sunday morning, April 1, at the Baptist South Medical Center in Montgomery, Alabama.

Today, Josephine's family has many cherished memories of her as a happy, jovial person -- always laughing and apologizing for everything; her favorite thing to do was chew gum and drink coffee -- at the same time. Despite her seemingly happy-go-lucky nature, she was always ready to lend a helping hand, and reach out to others in need. She would give her own food supplies away even to the point of doing without, to help someone else in need. These are the things that made her human and loveable.

Our deepest and heartfelt sympathy is extended to her husband, Minister Ronnie Shearer Morgan; one (1) daughter, Dawn Michelle Hatcher (John); three (3) sons: William Sanford Houston, Jr., Allen LaSail Houston (LaTasha) and Jonathan Daniell Houston; seven (7) grandchildren: Aquavious Winston, Alexia Williams, Timothy Parker, Samya Houston, Shy'Asia Houston, Jamya Houston, and Allen Houston, Jr.; one brother, Billy Harris; one (1) sister, Jeraldine Gunn (Cecil), her only aunt, Mrs. Mary Phillips (James) of Roanoke, all of Roanoke, Alabama; one (1) niece, Shontae Harris of Roanoke; two (2) nephews: Dondrell Harris of Roanoke, and Ramone Watkins of LaGrange, Georgia; and finally but not least several neighbors, beloved church family, many other relatives and friends.
