With deepest regret we announce the passing from this life, of Mrs. Fannie Pearl Green, 82, a long-time resident of 897 County Road 213, Wedowee, Alabama.
Mrs. Green passed away on Monday evening, February 23, 2015 at her home in Wedowee, after an extended illness.
Public viewing and visiting hours for Mrs. Green will be observed on Thursday, February 26, 2015, after 12:00 noon.
The Funeral service will be held on Friday afternoon, February 27, 2015, at 1:00 PM from the Zion Rest Baptist Church, 1647 County Road 213, Wedowee, Alabama 36278. The Pastor, Reverend William Phillips, will officiate. Other ministers sharing the roster will include: Elder Leroy Holley, Reverend Craig McClure.
Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery at Zion Rest Baptist Church, Wedowee, Alabama.

The ObituaryFannie Pearl Goodwin was born October 9, 1932 in Malone, Randolph County, Alabama to the parentage of the late Gay and Minnie (Marsh) Goodwin.
Early in life, she joined the Union Chapel United Methodist Church, where she remained a faithful member until after her marriage to Mr. William Green.
In 1952, she united in marriage with Mr. William Andrew Green. After marriage, she moved her membership to the Zion Rest Baptist Church in Wedowee, where she remained a faithful member until the Lord called her home. Their union of more than 60 years, was blessed with two sons.
For some time, Fannie worked for Perry's farm as an egg processor.
Fannie was preceded in death by her sisters, Ruth Parker, Doris Drummond, Charlie Mae Molden, "Het" Jones, and Lola Mae Sterling. Fannie peacefully transitioned from this life around 10:30 PM on Monday evening, February 23, 2015. She was at her home in Wedowee.
She leaves to cherish many fond memories, her devoted husband, William A. Green of Wedowee, Alabama; two (2) sons: Tony Green (Nancy) of Roanoke, Alabama, and Calvin L. White (Joyce) of Wedowee, Alabama; one (1) sister, Priscilla Robinson (Abraham) of Gadsden, Alabama; twelve (12) grandchildren; thirteen (13) great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Fannie also had some very special sisters-in-law and great-nieces, who were very helpful during her illness. They are: Great nieces, Kaye Bailey of Conyers, Georgia; Patricia Turner of Wedowee, Alabama; and sisters-in-law: Emma Ware, Agnes Minnifield, Curtis Mae Green, and Elizabeth Green all of Wedowee, Alabama; and Naconia Robinson of Cincinnati, Ohio.
ACKNOWLEDGMENTSAs our family reflects on the many kind deeds that have been extended to us during our time of grief, we are overcome with gratitude. Your love, deeds, words, and prayers have been received with profound appreciation.
We are especially gratefull Alacare Hospice of Anniston, Alabama, and to all the following members of our extended family, who provided so much aid and assistance to us through Fannie's illness: her great-nieces: Kaye Bailey, Patricia Turner; and sisters-in-law: Emma Ware, Agnes Minnifield, Curtis Mae Green, Elizabeth Green and Naconia Robinson.
