Mrs. Eunice Oliver Obituary

Ms. Eunice Clark Oliver, age 84, passed away on March 06, 2013 at her home in Covington, Georgia. A private memorial service was held for Mrs. Oliver on Sunday, March 17, 2013, at Shadowlawn Cemetery in Lagrange, GA

Mrs. Eunice Clark Oliver was born July 17, 1928 to the late Mr. William Burt Clark and Mrs. Lillian Hammond Clark in Covington, GA. She recieved her education in the Covington area, and afterward became a seamstress with a local clothing manufacturing company. Eunice confessed Christ at an early age and was active in church. She was a member of Rosemont Baptist Church in Covington, Ga. Mrs. Oliver also held the position of Sunday school teacher and was member of the YMA and WMA at Guinn Street Baptist Church in Lagrange, GA.

Mrs. Eunice was united in holy matrimony to the late Emanuel Oliver and to this union 2 children were born. She particularly enjoyed go on cross-country fishing trips with Emanuel in their RV. The happy couple traveled all over the south and eastern United States including New England, Washington, D.C., Florida, and Texas. A life-long resident of Lagrange, Mrs. Oliver will be most remembered for her straightforward manner and her love for chocolates and sweets.

Eunice departed this earthly life on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at her home in Covington, Ga. She was preceded in death by her husband Emanuel Oliver; one daughter, Elisha Annette Oliver; one brother, Franklin C. Clark; and her grandfather, Rev. Elijah Hammond, who was a well-known pastor from the old circuit.

She leaves to cherish many fond memories, her only daughter, Sheila Oliver of Newnan, Ga; 1 brother Vernon B. Clark(Jean) of Fairburn, Ga; 2 granddaughters, Sharon Tait(Dusty) of Covington, Ga; Amanda Flournoy(Paul) of Newnan, Ga; 2 grandsons Andy Fournoy of Augusta, Ga; Levi Oliver of Newnan, Ga; a special niece, Faye Neighbors of Newnan, Ga; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends in the Lagrange, Newnan and Covington areas.
