Mrs. Trammell will be in state for one hour prior to funeral services, which will be held on Saturday morning, January 4, 2014, at 11:00 AM from Mount Bethel United Methodist Church, 150 Banks Road, Roanoke, Alabama, with the Pastor, Reverend Dr. Jacquelyn J. Cumberlander, Officiating. The Reverend Calvin Trammell will serve as Eulogist.
Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery at Mount Bethel United Methodist Church, 150 Banks Road, Roanoke, Alabama 36274.
Mrs. Trammell’s Great Grandsons will serve as Pall Bearers for their Great Grandmother.

The Obituary
On April 6, 1908, a baby girl was born to the late Thomas and Mattie Cole in Five Points, Alabama. They named her Estella. She was the 8th child of a family of twelve (12) children.
At an early age, she joined Saint Paul Methodist Church, Five Points, Alabama. She met married Willie Trammell and moved to Birmingham, Alabama. Their union gave rise to a son, whom they named Willis Trammell. Estella, her husband, and baby relocated to Roanoke, Alabama, where she joined Mount Bethel Methodist Church, and remained a faithful member until her health failed.
Estella was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Trammell, her son Willis; and four (4) grandchildren: Gregory Lewis Trammell, Deborah Trammell, Johnnie Sue Dunson, and Dale Trammell.
On Tuesday night, December 31, 2013, at the beautiful and majestic age of 105 years, 8 months and 25 days old, Estella concluded her life’s journey at Traylor’s Nursing Home in Roanoke, Alabama.
“A Beautiful Life that came to an end…
She died as she lived, everyone’s friend.
Sweet are the memories, silently kept,
Of one we loved dearly and never forget.”
Estella leaves to cherish her memory three (3) grandsons: Robert Staples (Catherine) and Reverend Calvin Trammell (Patricia) of Roanoke, Alabama, and Alvin Trammell (Cathy) of Wedowee, Alabama; and two (2) granddaughters, Mrs. Gale McFarland (Larry) of Roanoke, Alabama and Mrs. Gloria Farrow (Foy) of Camp Hill, Alabama; a granddaughter-in-law, Mrs. Helen Trammell of Lineville, Alabama; seventeen (17) great grandchildren; twenty (20) great great grandchildren; one (1) great great great grandchild; five (5) nieces; one (1) nephew; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
