In Loving Memory Of Mrs. Cynthia Marie Johnson Hooks

Cynthia Marie Johnson was born in Roanoke, Randolph County, Alabama on December 3, 1964 to the parentage of the late Ms. Alice Jean Johnson. In later years, after her mother united in marriage with Mr. Charles Reeder, Sr., he stepped up and assume the role of father in Cynthia's life.

At a young age, she lost her mother to cancer, and close family friend, Barbara Brooks became a mother figure for Cynthia as well as the other children. She was someone they could all talk to and go to for wise advice and motherly guidance.

Cynthia united in marriage to Mr. Stanley Hooks.

She later relocated to LaGrange, Georgia, where she enjoyed working in the Bakery at WalMart's Neighborhood Market in LaGrange.

She joined First Love Outreach Church in LaGrange, Georgia, where she remained a member until her home going.

Cynthia was preceded in death by both her parents, Alice Jean Johnson and Charles Reeder, Sr.; a grandmother, Gladys Slaughter, and more recently by her brother, Charles Reeder, Jr. On Monday, June 11, Cynthia transitioned from this life as she underwent surgery for a mystifying illness that progressed rapidly and defied medical intervention. She was at University Of Alabama Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama.

She is survived by her husband, Stanley Hooks; three children: Leonard Johnson (Candace), and Jessica Johnson, all of Roanoke, Alabama; and Ebony Johnson of LaGrange, Georgia. two brothers: Maxwell Reeder of Dayton, Ohio and Arris D. Satterwhite of Wedowee, Alabama; and three (3) sisters: Attoyette Cooley (Carl) and Barbara Nolan (Walter) both of Roanoke, Alabama, and Tereon Reeder of Atlanta, Georgia; five (5) grandchildren: Erika Johnson, LaNiyah Johnson, Erin Johnson, Brooklynn Johnson, Daniel Hairston; fifteen (15) nieces and nephews: Barry Davenport, Brian Davenport, Khadija Neely, Jasman Reeder, Kyle Spencer, Kendall Reeder, Ladeedra Hearn, Jermont Johnson, Charles Reeder, III, Untereas Reeder, Travis Owensby, Danielle Owensby, Alice Jean Reeder, Corey Prater and Terrence McClure; two (2) special cousins, Carolyn Hines of Dayton, Ohio and Priscilla Parker of LaGrange, Georgia; and many other loving relatives, friends and neighbors.
