Carrie united in marriage with the late Mr. Otis Paige. Their union was fruitful giving rise to two sons, one daughter, and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
As many of our African American elders did, Mrs. Paige survived, and did well as a domestic worker. Mrs. Paige resided in Connecticut for many years, where she worked in environmental services, and continued to enjoy cleaning, ironing and caring for others.
She was preceded in death by a son, Nicholas Paige. Carrie Lillie spent many wonderful years in the Traylor's Nursing Home, where she would often visit with relatives and friends. Carrie Lillie departed this life on Monday, August 10, 2015 at Wedowee Hospital in Wedowee, Alabama.
She leaves to cherish many fond and loving memories; one (1) son, Elgin Paige of Atlanta, Georgia, and one daughter, Rosetta Paige-Bailey, of Roanoke, Alabama; one (1) brother, Willie Howard Williams (Catherine) Atlanta, Georgia; one (1) sister, Annie D. Trammell of Roanoke, Alabama; one (1) brother-in-law, Reverend William H. Trammell of Roanoke, Alabama; and one (1) sister-in-law, Catherine Williams of Atlanta, Georgia; a special grandson, Daryll Paige; and a great host of other grandchildren, great grandchildren, other loving relatives and frrnds.
