Carmen Magdalena Corbin was born January 8, 1925 to the parentage of Felipe Garcia and Frances Vellages in Pasadena, California. One of thirteen(13) children, Carmen went to work as a window maker. She spent most of her years in the Pasadena and Southern California area, but after her health began to fail Carmen moved to the Roanoke area to be with her loving daughter Maria.
Ms. Corbin was blessed with five (5) children: including two (2) sons and one (1) daughter preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish many fond memories two children; Maria Hand (James) of Roanoke, Al and Johnnie Walls of Blue Springs, Missouri; one daughter-in-law; seven (7) grandchildren; eighteen (18) great-grandchildren and a special son-in-law James Hand.
