Mrs. Annye Foster Obituary

With sadness we announce the passing of Mrs. Annye Ruth Foster, age 63, a resident of 430 Government Street, Roanoke, Alabama.

Mrs. Foster transitioned from this life on Saturday, August 16, 2014, at Bethany House Hospice, Auburn, Alabama.

Public viewing and visiting hours for Mrs. Foster will be observed here at the funeral home, on Wednesday, (August 20) between the hours of 12:00 Noon and 6:00 PM.

Funeral Service for Mrs. Foster will be observed on Thursday, August 21, 2014, at 1:00 O'Clock PM from the Deliverance Temple Church, 779 Strozier Street, Roanoke, Alabama 36274, Bishop C.L. Wilkes, Pastor, Bishop Tom Staples, Eulogist. Other ministers sharing the roster will include Reverend Jeffery D. Rosser, Reverend Robert L. Smith, Reverend Calvin Trammell, and Reverend Keith Nolan.

Burial will follow in Rehope Baptist Church Cemetery, 5267 County Road 258, LaFayette, Alabama.

THE OBITUARY


Annye Ruth Baker Foster was born November 2, 1950, to the parentage of the late Arthur and Sadie (Holliday) Baker. She departed for her heavenly home on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at Bethany House Hospice in Auburn, Alabama.

Annye accepted Christ at a young age and united with the Rehope Missionary Baptist Church, LaFayette, Alabama. She later united with Deliverance Temple in Roanoke, Alabama. She attended Randolph County Training School. Annye held positions at several medical facilities in the area including Traylor's Nursing Home, Roanoke Health Care Center, and lastly Randolph Medical Center where she was affectionately known as "Miss Annie." Along with her husband, she could also give you the latest and the sharpest hairstyle in town.

She was preceded in death by: her grandmother, Mary L. Holliday; sister, Virginia B. Whitlow; her brother, Jerry Baker; and uncle, Leonard Holliday, Sr.

She leaves to cherish her memory: a devoted caregiver, William Foster of Roanoke, Alabama; loving sister, Bernice Ware of Akron, Ohio; brother, Leonard Holliday of Dallas, Georgia; step-mother, Mary J. Bell; step-brother, David Henderson; brother-in-law, William H. Whitlow all of of Roanoke, Alabama; sisters: Rosa Mae Treadwell of Atlanta, Georgia, Irene Roundtree (Jerry) of Roanoke, Alabama, and Kyrstal Wyatt (Louthez) of Fayetteville, Georgia; an adopted daughter, Shyesha Kelley, goddaughter, Terria Holley of Roanoke, Alabama and godson, Earsley McKnight of Opelika, Alabama; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
