With deepest sympathy, we announce the passing of Brother Willie Veal, Jr., 79, a resident of 1017 Elkin Street, Roanoke, Alabama.
Mr. Veal transitioned from this life on Sunday Morning, January 4, 2015.
Public visiting and viewing hours for Mr. Veal will be observed here at the funeral home on Friday, January 9, 2015, after 12:00 Noon.
Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2015, at 1:00 O'clock PM. from Skyview Memorial Gardens Cemetery, U.S. Highway 431, South, Five Points, AL. Elder Thomas Knight will officiate and serve as Eulogist, and music will be performed by Maruna Keith.

The Obituary
Willie Veal, Jr., was born in Abanda, Chambers County, Alabama, on March 20, 1935, to the parentage of the late Arnton Veal and Carrie Bell Wheeler. Throughout his life, he was known by friends and loved ones as "Sonny" Veal.
His family of origin were members of the Mount Olive United Methodist Church in Wadley, Alabama.
He married the late Ruby Louise (Phillips) Veal with whom he parented three children: two (2) boys and one (1) girl. The family resided in the local neighborhood historically known as "Hill City" in Roanoke.
For many years, "Sonny" worked as a concrete truck driver for Huey's Concrete Works in Roanoke, Alabama, eventually retiring. During his more active years, he was a true outdoorsman, who enjoyed sports such as fishing and hunting.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the late Ruby Veal (Dec 4, 1995), and a brother, Earnest Veal. Succumbing to extended illness, Willie peacefully transitioned from this life on Sunday morning, January 4, 2015 at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Alabama.
Willie Veal, Jr. leaves to cherish many loving memories: two (2) sons: Donald Veal of Anniston, Alabama and Darrell Veal of Atlanta, Georgia; two (2) daughters: Cynthia Wilder (George) of Standing Rock, Alabama and Pamela Brooks (Stanford) of Douglasville, Georgia; seven (7) grandchildren; one (1) great-grandchild; one (1) brother, Darron Veal of Anaheim, California ; three (3) sisters: Phyllis Von Hoff of Yuma, Arizona, Candice Hawkins and Roslyn Wilson both of Dayton, Ohio; a God-son, Benard Thompson of Roanoke, Alabama; two (2) special friends, Cleophus Burrows and Angelia Lee of Roanoke, Alabama; a special cousin, Andrew Wheeler; and many other loving cousins, relatives and friends.
