Mr. Troy Knight

With deepest regret, we announce that Mr. Troy Knight, 62, a resident of 875 County Road 892, Wedowee, Alabama 36278, passed from this life on August 23, 2015, at his residence in Wedowee.

Public Visitation and viewing hours for Mr. Knight will be observed on Wednesday, August 26, 2015, here at the funeral Home.

Funeral Services for Mr. Knight will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2015, at the Pine Flat Primitive Baptist Church, with his brother, Elder Thomas Knight, Officiating, and

Burial will follow in the adjoining church Cemetery at Pine Flat Primitive Baptist Church, Wedowee, Alabama.

Mr. Troy Knight was born Aug. 16, 1953, to the parentage of the late Mr. and Mrs. John and Fronnie Robinson Knight in Wedowee.

Troy joined Pine Flat Primitive Baptist Church at an early age, where he remained a faithful member until his health declined. He worked with Potter Construction for many years. He also worked for Don Gay Logging and did construction work in the Atlanta area. Troy was a true family man. He loved spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Scott and Doreena Knight and Troy A. Knight; three daughters and sons-in-law, Kwoanza Knight and Kerry, Tiffany Knight and Chris, and Shirlisor Knight and Kevin, all of Wedowee; sister, Cora Knight of Waco, Texas; mother-in-law, Ervis McKissic; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Mr. Knight was preceded in death by one son, Keith Knight; two brothers, John W. Knight and Charlie A. Knight; and two sisters, Annie Woodgett and Janette Barsh.
