Mr. Robert Johnson Obituary

Mr. Robert Johnson, 46, (a native and former resident of Wedowee, Alabama), currently residing at 714 Knight Avenue, Roanoke, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 6, 2013 at Wedowee Hospital, Wedowee, Alabama.

Public viewing and visiting hours for Mr. Johnson will be observed on Thursday, December 12, 2013 between the hours of 12:00 NOON and 6:00 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Johnson will be in state at the church, for one hour on the day of funeral services.

The Celebration of Life for Mr. Robert Johnson will be observed on Friday, December 13, 2013 at 12:00 O'Clock NOON from The Union Chapel United Methodist Church, 744 Woodland Avenue Northwest, Wedowee, Alabama, with the pastor, Reverend Charles Wood, officiating. Elder John C. Greathouse will serve as Eulogist. Other Ministers sharing the roster will include: Apostle William Heard, and Minister Randall Nunn.

Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery at Union Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Wedowee, Alabama.

The Obituary

Mr. Robert Johnson was born in Wedowee, Randolph County, Alabama on December 12, 1965 to the parentage of the late I.V. Johnson and Sarah Frances (Patillo) Johnson.

His attended school in Wedowee, Alabama. For several years, he was a member of the Pure Holiness Church of God in Roanoke, Alabama.

Robert retired from Mohawk Industries in Roanoke, Alabama.

Both Robert’s parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. I.V. and Sarah Frances Johnson, and three (3) brothers: John Wayne Patillo, Ricky L. Clark, and Melvin Johnson preceded him to heaven. Robert completed his life’s journey on Friday, December 6, 2013 at Wedowee Hospital in Wedowee, Alabama.

Robert is survived by: two (2) brothers: Jimmy Clark of Heflin, Alabama, and Datarious Farley of Atlanta, Georgia; six (6) sisters: Rosie Lee Johnson of Oxford, Alabama, Angelia Denny and Rochelle Tatum (Johnny) both of Wedowee, Alabama, Yvette Wallace and Kartarious Farley both of Atlanta, Georgia, and Sandra Baggin (Rickey) of Woodland, Alabama; a very special friend, Dawn Houston of Roanoke, Alabama; several nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
