Charlotte A. Clark-Frieson and the staff and management of Clark Memorial Funeral Service expresses deepest sympathy for the family of Gerald Wayne "Hawk" Thomas. We want you to know how sorry we are for your loss. I personally want to apologize that I am unable to be with you today for Gerald's memorial service. but you are in my thoughts and prayers. I shall remember with fondness the last time I saw and spoke to Gerald Wayne.... It was August 11, 2015, when he and Bobby Walls came to my home and met with me regarding a personal business matter. During that visit, we recalled with fondness, how far back we went, growing up on Riley Street (Now Wilkie Clark Drive). When Gerald got ready to leave my house, we embraced, and he said to me, "Love you girl." I called him on the phone maybe a couple of times afterward, and then saw him in his truck at 3 Points maybe a couple of days after. NOTHING IN THIS WORLD could have made be believe that he would be gone so soon after that chance encounter. My heart hurts for your family in your loss, and I want you to know that I am praying real hard for the family that God will give you peace.
