Mr. Frankie Lee Cameron, age 54, a native of Randolph County, and resident of 506 Borders Street, Roanoke, Alabama passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 in Roanoke.
Public viewing and visiting hours for Mr. Cameron will be observed at the funeral home, on Monday, January 13, 2014, between the hours of 12:00 Noon and 6:00 PM. Mr. Cameron will be in state at the church one hour prior to funeral services, which will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at 11:00 O'Clock AM, at The Friendship Baptist Church 5979 County Road 26, Wadley, Alabama.
The Pastor, Reverend Calvin Trammell will officiate, and burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery at Friendship Baptist Church, (Broughton Community), Wadley, Alabama. Other ministers sharing the roster will include: Reverend Elijah Jackson, Jr., Reverend Dr. H.L. Jones, Reverend Willie C. Houston and Reverend Bruce Alford.

The Obituary
Mr. Frankie Lee Cameron was born in Randolph County, Alabama on July 6, 1959, to the parentage of the late Mr. and Mrs. Scott and Hattie (Goss) Cameron. He was the sixth of eleven siblings born to this parentage. Frankie Lee was preceded in death by two (2) siblings, Joseph Cameron and Annie Mae Poythress.
At an early age, he joined the Friendship Baptist Church in the Broughton Community in Wadley, Alabama, where he remained a member until the Lord summoned him home, on this past Wednesday, January 8, 2014.
Frankie's early education began at the Randolph County Training School in Roanoke, and concluded with his high school graduation from Randolph County High School in Wedowee, Alabama. He served for a short time in the National Guard. He also held employment in the construction industry, doing property restoration work.
In March of 1991, Frankie united in marriage with Ms. Linda Ann Phillips. She was his loving wife for 8 years, and continued to be his loving companion until God summoned him home. God favored Frankie with five (5) children by birth, and later blessed him with three (3) additional children after his marriage to Linda. The result was a loving blended family of
eight (8) wonderful children.
Precious memories of Frankie Lee Cameron, a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend will linger in the hearts of those he leaves behind forever: his beloved former wife and life-long companion, Ms. Linda Ann Phillips of Roanoke, Alabama; three (3) daughters: Porsha Cameron of Roanoke, Alabama, Tammi Fuller of Dallas, Georgia, and Lucious Brown of LaGrange, Georgia; two (2) sons: Christopher Allen of Opelika, Alabama, and Spencer Williams of Montgomery, Alabama; one (1) step-daughter, Keisha Johnson (Jermaine); and two (2) step-sons, Johnathan Phillips and Bernard Phillips all of Roanoke, Alabama; five (5) sisters: Ida Bell (Reverend Claude Bell), Patricia Brown (Larry), and Rose Emma Cameron all of Roanoke, Alabama, Sandra Williams (Perry) of Columbus, Georgia, and Lennie Heard (Bernard of Wadley, Alabama; and three (3) brothers: Gordon Cameron (Barbara) of Dothan, Alabama, Charles Cameron and Mose Cameron (Tammy) both of Roanoke, Alabama; thirteen (13) grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
