Mr. Donald Lamar Hill

With deepest regret, we announce the passing from this life, of Mr. Donald Lamar Hill, 58, a resident of 305 Avenue A, Apartment 21, Roanoke, Alabama 36274. Mr. Hill transitioned from this life at the residence of his mother Mrs. Mary Hill.

Visitation for Mr. Hill will be observed on Monday, January 8, 2018 from 4:00 until 6:00 pm.

Donald Lamar Hill was born September 15, 1959 in Roanoke, Randolph County, Alabama to the parentage of the late Sam Hill and Mrs. Mary Jeanette (Collins) Hill. At an early age, he joined the First Baptist Church, in Roanoke.

He attended public high school here in Roanoke, Alabama as well. For a number of years, Mr. Hill was employed as a mechanic at the Jack Kitchen's Pontiac-Buick Dealership. Mr. Hill was married to the former Joanna Atkinson Trammell. Their union was blessed by the birth of one child-- a daughter. He left the area for several years, later returning to his hometown, where he resided with his mother, Mary.

Donald was preceded in death by his father, Sam Hill; two (2) brothers: Jimmy L. Thompson and Jimmy Parker; and two (2) sisters: Barbara Hill and Karen J. Hill McFarland, and his wife, Joanna Trammell Hill. He transitioned from this life on Tuesday evening, December 19, 2017 at his residence in Roanoke.

Our deepest sympathy is extended to his entire family which includes: two (2) daughters, LaQuale Trammell of Roanoke, Alabama, and Lakeisha Slaughter of Newsite, Alabama; two step-daughters, Wynette Trammell and Laynn Trammell of Roanoke, Alabama; two step-sons: Corey Trammell and Anthony Trammell; his mother, Mrs. Mary Jeanette (Collins) Hill also of Roanoke, Alabama; two (2) brothers: James Hill, and Kenneth Hill; (2) sisters: Pamela Hill, and Tiffany Hill all of Roanoke, Alabama; four (4) grandchildren: Tyrese Heard, T'yvon Lewis, Tacorey Trammell, and Tiquarius Williams; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
