Mr. Dewavion Maurice Dunson Swint

With very heavy hearts, we announce the passing from this life of Mr. Dewavion Maurice Dunson Swint, 26, a resident of 3833 Peachtree Road, NE, Brookhaven (Dekalb) Georgia. Mr. Swint transitioned from this life on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Augusta University Medical Center, in Augusta, Georgia.

Friends and loved ones may pay their respects on Tuesday, Janaury 29, 2019 from 1:00 until 6:00 pm.

The homegoing service will be observed Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Peace and Goodwill Baptist Church, 1465 Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive, Roanoke, Alabama, with the Pastor, Reverend L.B. Houston serving as Eulogist. Other ministers sharing the roster will include Reverend Michael Goss, Reverend Willie Clyde Houston, Reverend Calvin Trammell, and Reverend De'Andre Strickland.

Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery at the church.

Dewavion Maurice Dunson Swint was born in Roanoke, Randolph County, Alabama on April 1, 1992. He departed from this life on Thursday, January 24, 2019.

Dewavion (Maurice) graduated from Dawson Street Christian Academy in LaGrange, Georgia. After graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Army. After four (4) years of service, he was honorably discharged. Later he decided to follow his dream, and do what he enjoyed most -- cutting hair. He became a licensed Barber, aka "Dunn the Barber".

Dewavion leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Stacey Marie Dunson; and daughter Jaida Marie Dunson, both of Brookhaven, Georgia; his daughter, Iyanna Wynette Dunson of Hinesville, Georgia; He was raised by his mother and father, Alicia and Theyble Swint of LaGrange, Georgia; biological father, Kristen Howard all of Columbus, Georgia; one (1) brother, Devonte "Marquiz" Swint of LaGrange, Georgia; two (2) sisters, Chelsey Howard and Aliandra Byrd of Columbus, Georgia; his Grandmother, Edith Atkinson of Roanoke, Alabama; and Grandfather, Apostle Robert Dunson (Joyce) of Atlanta, Georgia; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends that loved him dearly.
