Deacon Coley Johnson, 63, a life-long resident of Roanoke, Alabama, passed away on Friday, October 25, 2013 at Northeast Regional Medical Center.
Public viewing and visitng hours for Mr. Johnson will be observed on Monday, October 28, 2013 between the hours of 12:00 Noon and 6:00 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Johnson will be in state for one hour at the church on the day of funeral services.
The Celebration of Life for Mr. Coley Johnson will be observed on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at 1:00 O'Clock PM from Rock Mills Missionary Baptist Church,

Honorary Pall Bearers will be Deacons of Rock Mills Missionary Baptist Church. Active Pall Bearers will include Chris Johnson, Louthez Wyatt, Jabaris Collins, Dyrick Tucker, Terrance Tucker, and Gavin Johnson. Friends of the family have been selected to serve as flower attendants.
Burial will follow in adjoining cemetery at Rock Mills Baptist Church, Roanoke.

Deacon Coley Johnson, Jr. was born August 2, 1950 to the parentage of the late Coley and Edith Johnson , Sr.
Early in life, he confessed Christ and joined Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Wadley, Alabama, and later united with Rock Mills Missionary Baptist Church in Roanoke, Alabama where he served faithfully and dutifully as a Deacon and Superintendent of Sunday School until his passing.
Deacon Johnson was united in Holy Matrimony to Brenda J. Brady on September 29, 1973. To this union, one son, Jermaine Johnson was born,
Deacon Johnson attended Randolph County Training School and then went on to attend Southern Union State Community College. At an early age, Coley started out working at Terry Manufacturing Company. But his proudest achievement was to become the first black car salesman in Roanoke. He worked for numerous car dealerships in the area, until his health declined.
Coley was very fun-loving, talkative, sociable person, and enjoyed the laughter and fellowship of his family and friends.
Coley was preceded in death by his parents, Coley and Edith Johnson, one (1) sister, Jean Johnson, and a nephew, Kimmie Johnson. Having been blessed to walk the walk of faith for 63 years, Deacon Johnson departed this life on Friday, October 25, 20132 at Regional Medical Center in Anniston, Alabama.
He leaves to cherish a lifetime of fond, loving memories: his beloved spouse, Brenda Jo Johnson; his son, Jermaine Johnson (Kesha); four (4) grandchildren: Iesha Johnson, JaMeria Johnson, Jasmine Johnson all of Roanoke, Alabama and Omarion Johnson of LaGrange, Georgia; one (1) sister, Margaret Elaine Tabron (Bobby) of College Park, Georgia; five (5) sisters-in-law: Mary Lett ((Mack), Janet Williams, Velma Hilsman (Edgar), Linda Ash, Carolyn Lee (Charles); one (1) brother-in-law, Wilson, Brady (Betty);a special nephew, Walter "Bubba" Collins; and finally, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving relatives and friends.
