THE OBITUARY
Clarence Jones, Jr. was born on November 1, 1976, to the parentage of the late Clarence Jones Sr., and Dorothy (Strickland) Jones. Clarence was born in Aliquippa, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, native to his mother. Around the age of 5, Clarence migrated to Roanoke with his family, by way of Franklin, Georgia, native to his father.
He remained in Roanoke until last Sunday, October 30, when death demanded his return home to be with our awesome God.
In 1997, Clarence united in marriage with Miss Tamecia Nolan of Roanoke. Their marriage gave rise to a loving blended family of two daughters and one son. Understanding and appreciating the value of hard work, Clarence held many jobs in this area; including 10 years at Plantation Patterns in Wadley, Alabama; several years at Mohawk Industries in Roanoke. Throughout his years in Alabama, hunting became one of his favorite pasttimes.
In December, 2005, he was baptized at New Life Worship Center, where he surrendered his life to God and became a member of the family of believers at New Life, where he remained a member until his home-going.
Clarence's homegoing on Sunday, October 30, translated into a great reunion with his father, Clarence Jones, Sr., mother, Dorothy Jones, and Father-in-law, Sandy Sims, Sr., who preceded him to heaven.
Clarence's cherished legacy includes his wife, Mrs. Tamecia (Nolan) Jones; son, Raekwan Jones; daughters, Kendreatta Jones, and Iesha Johnson; mother-in-law, Mrs. Dicie Sims all of Roanoke, Alabama; Sisters: Clarissa Strickland (Jay Dee) of Hogansville, Georgia, and Lynetta Strickland of Roanoke, Alabama; Brothers-in-law: Robert Nolan (Sonya) of Roanoke, Alabama, and Sandy Sims, Jr., of Newnan, Georgia; sisters-in-law: Sandra Nolan of Montgomery, Alabama, and Pamelia Sims of Roanoke, Alabama; and finally, a very special friend, Crystal Pate of Roanoke, Alabma; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.
