With deepest regret, we announce the passing from this life of Mr. Bobby Ray Taylor, 56, a native of Roanoke, Alabama, and current resident of 1520 Rose Circle, Mableton, Georgia. Mr. Taylor transitioned from this life on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 3180 Anneewakee Falls Parkway SW, Douglasville, Georgia.
Public Viewing and Visiting hours for Mr. Taylor will be observed on Thursday, January 3, 2018 from 1:00 until 6:00 pm. The Home Going Service will be observed on Friday, January 4, 2018 at 11:00 am from Wehadkee Missionary Baptist Church, 1216 County Road 310, Roanoke, Alabama. The Reverend Elijah Jackson, Jr., pastor will serve as Eulogist.
Burial will follow in the adjoining Cemetery at Wehadkee Missionary Baptist Church.
Bobby Ray Taylor was born in Randolph County, Alabama on April 12, 1962, to the parentage of the late (Mr. & Mrs.) William Edward "Dub" Taylor and Ruby Carolyn (Bell) Taylor. When he was still a child, Bobby and his sisters and brother lost their mother. They were taken in to the home of their aunt and uncle Amos and Julia Foster, who loved them as their own, and raised them in a Godly home.
Bobby grew up and attended school here in Randolph County, Alabama. He was a life-long member of the Wehadkee Missionary Baptist Church.
The love of his life was his high school sweetheart, the former Miss Judy Baker of Roanoke, Alabama. He made her his wife and their marriage gave rise to two daughters. He was a long-time-employee with the City Of Atlanta.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents: William Edward "Dub" Taylor and Ruby Carolyn (Bell) Taylor; foster parents: Amos Foster, Sr. and Julia Ann Bell Foster; father-in-law, Kenny Baker; siblings: William Edward Taylor, Jr., Sam Henry Foster, Laura Foster, Jacqueline Williams and Bathsheba Ann Foster Cook; and brothers-in-law: Ronald Ware, Jessie Houston, and Tyrone Williams.
He transitioned from this life on Saturday Morning, December 29, 2018 at 3180 Anneewakee Falls Parkway SW, Douglasville, Georgia.
Bobby is survived by: his wife, Mrs. Judy Baker Taylor of Roanoke, AL; two (2) daughters: Tasha Taylor and Tonya Taylor both of Carrollton, GA; his mother-in-law, Mrs. Genelle Baker of Roanoke, AL; two (2) grandchildren: Salvador Garcia, Jr. and Renardo Monagan, Jr. both of Carrollton, GA; three (3) brothers: Amos Foster, Jr. (Susan), Lorenzo Dale Foster (Kenya), and Jeffery Foster (Tricia) all of Roanoke, AL; seven (7) sisters: Caroline Ware, Bonnie Houston, Cathy Hardnett (Douglas), Gloria Story (Trent), Essie Birmingham (Danny), and Shontella Foster all of Roanoke, AL and Brenda Williams of St. Petersburg, FL; five (5) brothers-in-law: Sendy Baker and Bruce Williams of Birmingham, AL, Jeffery Baker of Marietta, GA, Kenneth Baker of Roanoke, AL, and Roy Cook of St. Petersburg, FL; three (3) sisters-in-law: Belinda McFarland, Cynthia Foster and Brenetta Tucker all of Roanoke, AL; and finally but not least of all, a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
