Mother Beatrice Smith Rowland, age 84, a resident of 352 Government Street, Roanoke, Alabama passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2011 at her residence in Roanoke, Alabama.
Public viewing and visiting hours for Mother Rowland will be observed on (Easter) Sunday, April 24, 2010 between the hours of 12:00 noon and 6:00 P.M.
Mother Rowland will lie in state at the East Roanoke Pure Holiness Church of God at 311 Wright's Place, in Roanoke, Alabama one hour prior to the Funeral Services.
Funeral Services for Mother Beatrice Smith Rowland will be held on Monday, April 25, 2011, at 1:00 O'Clock P.M. at the East Roanoke Pure Holiness Church of God, in Roanoke, 311 Wright's Place, Roanoke, Alabama. Minister Timothy Wright, Pastor will officiate, along with Elder Rodney Wright, Minister Tom Staples, Jr. Minister Steve Joiner will serve as Eulogist.
Burial will follow in Skyview Memorial Gardens, Welch, Alabama.

"A Woman Of Wisdom And Faith"
Mother Beatrice Rowland was born on May 1, 1926 in Roanoke, Alabama to the parentage of the late General and Lizzie Smith.
She was united Holy Matrimony to the late Calvin Rowland Sr. on June 12, 1943. To this union twelve children were born.
Mother Beatrice Rowland was preceded in death by one son Ernest Rowland, five sisters, two brothers, and two grandsons.
She was a faithful member of East Roanoke Pure Holiness Church of God. Mother Beatrice received the gift of the Holy Ghost under the leadership of Elder Wade Wright Sr. and served faithfully under Bishop Wade Wright Jr. She was the Sunday School secretary and holiday and Pastors Anniversary Coordinator. As a beacon to her church and community, you could always go to her for spiritual guidance. Loving people so, she acknowledged all that wanted to be a part of her family as her adoptive sons and daughters.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories seven sons, Calvin (Beverly) Rowland, Birmingham AL; Samuel (Deborah) Rowland, Valdosta, Georgia; Minister Charlie Rowland, Thomas (Linda) Rowland, Stanley (Mary) Rowland, Kenneth (Shirley) Rowland, Wayne (Candy) Rowland, all of Roanoke AL; four daughters, Monica Rowland, Teresia Rowland, Evelyn Rowland, and Rhonda Rowland, Queens NY; two sisters Mittie Mayfield and Princess Smith, both of Cincinnati OH; 25 grandchildren, 44 great-grand children, 19 great great-grand children. Two very special adoptive children Jo Ann (Albert) Holloway, Wedowee AL; Frances (James) Joiner Roanoke AL; and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
