With deepest regret, we announce the passing of Brother Mitchell Leon Ogletree, age 50, a resident of 689 Seymour Drive, Roanoke, Randolph County, Alabama 36274.
Mr. Ogletree transitioned from this life on Wednesday evening, August 13, 2014 at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Lee County, Alabama, the culmination of an extended illness.
Public viewing and visiting hours for Mr. Ogletree will be observed on Friday, August 22, 2014, between the hours of 1:00 PM and 6:00 PM.
Funeral Services for Mr. Ogletree will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2014, at 2:00 O'clock PM from Christian Memorial Baptist Church, Roanoke, Alabama
Burial will follow in Skyview Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Stroud, Alabama.
THE OBITUARY
Mr. Mitchell Leon Ogletree was born was born in Carrollton, Carroll County, Georgia on July 16, 1964, to the parentage of the late Larry Jordan and the late Mae Dell Henderson.
He grew up and attended school in Roanoke, Alabama. He became a welder, and worked for some years in the auto manufacturing industry until he became disabled.
Mr. Ogletree was united in marriage with the former Margie Lewis of Roanoke, Alabama.
He was very recently preceded in death by a sister, Cynthia Sherell Nolan Shears of Franklin, Georgia. Mr. Ogletree previously worked as a welder in the automobile manufacturing industry at Saigon. He departed this life on Wednesday, August 13, at East Alabama Medical in Opelika, Lee, County, Alabama.
Mr. Ogletree is survived by his wife, Margie Lewis Ogletree of Roanoke, Alabama, two (2) sons: Mitchell Leon Lewis of Roanoke, Alabama and Maurice Lewis of Anniston, Alabama; three (3) daughters: Deanica Lewis Daniel (Dandricus) of Roanoke, Alabama, Kareemiah Rasheid of Covington, Georgia and Ashley Ogletree of Atlanta, Georgia; two (2) brothers: Michael Henderson of Elmore, Alabama and Harold Ogletree (Engrid) of Pensacola, Florida; two (2) sisters: Tracy Goss (Ben) of Birmingham, Alabama and Debbie Nolan (Claude) of Mobile, Alabama; thirteen (13) grandchildren; two (2) uncles: Billy Jordan (Marianne) of Roanoke, Alabama and Eulas B. Henderson of Eastaboga, Alabama; two (2) aunts: Audrey Lee (James) of Roanoke, Alabama and Jean Sadler of Conyers, Georgia; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
