With heavy hearts, yet in grateful remembrance, we celebrate the life of Ms. Minta Annetta Knight Moss, affectionately known as Annette, who departed this life on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at the age of 66. Though her passing has left an immeasurable void in the hearts of those who knew and loved her, her legacy of love, kindness, and generosity will forever be cherished.
A native and lifelong resident of Wedowee, Alabama, Annette was born on January 12, 1959, in Randolph County, Alabama, to Mr. David Knight and the late Ms. Mary June (Houston) Knight.
From an early age, Annetta embraced her faith, growing up near Pine Flat Primitive Baptist Church, and later becoming a devoted member of Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church. She attended Randolph County High School, later furthering her education at the Helen Keller Institute, before ultimately earning her diploma from Randolph County High School.
Annetta was known for her kind and generous spirit, always extending a helping hand to those in need. She lived life with joy and authenticity, finding happiness in sewing, traveling, dancing, and most of all, fishing—
Annetta was known and will be long remembered for her warm outgoing and carefree spirit. She had a big heart and was always open to help anyone. She was a great mom and grandmother.
Many cherished memories will be left to: her son, Omar Knight; grandchildren:Omar Knight, Jr., Omaria Knight and Brayden Knight; special grandson, Tybereious Birmingham; her devoted father, David Knight all of Wedowee; brother: David Aundray Knight (Jessica) of Montgomery; grandmother, Alma Marbury of Tuscaloosa, AL; Uncles: Eldrick "Chubby" Knight of Wadley, Orlando Marbury (Sharon) of Tuscaloosa; Aunts: Patricia Hutchinson of Alexander City; Ophelia Lewis, Carolyn Drake, Molly Banks, Geneva Hunter, and Yvonnia White of Wadley; Nephews: Reverend David L.
