It is with very heavy hearts that we inform you of the passing from this life of Ms. Mary Mosley, age 67, a resident of 478 Smith Street, Roanoke, Alabama. Ms. Mosley transitioned from this life on Friday, November 13, 2020, at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center, LaGrange, GA.
Mary Nell (McCurty) Mosley was born on September 25, 1953, in Chambers County, Alabama to the parentage of the late L.C. and Mandy Elizabeth (Miller) McCurty. She departed this life on Friday, November 13, 2020, at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents, step-dad, Jesse "Smokie" Trammell; brother, L.C. McCurty, Jr.; daughter, Elizabeth Smith; sister, Mary Frances Tucker; twin grandchildren, Collandra and Carey Smith, Jr.; step-grandchild, Mattie Rose Watkins and special friend, Sam Hoggs.
At an early age, she joined Canaan Baptist Church in the Welch community. She received her early education at Five Points School in Chambers County. Later in life, she became a member of Peace and Goodwill Baptist Church in Roanoke, AL. She was a faithful member until her homegoing. She was employed with Franklin Aluminum; presently JAC Products for over 15 years. she was a faithful and dedicated employee until she was forced to retire due to declining health.
Mary was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend. She was very outgoing and always kept a big beautiful smile. To know her was to love her. She liked listening to music and watching television. She loved herself some Ronald Isley and western shows. She also adored spending time with her grandchildren.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Mosley family which includes four (4) sons: William McCurty (Jonicka) of Huntsville, AL, Tony F. Mosley (Reba), Altito Mosley (Shontae) of Roanoke, AL, and Gregory Spence (Donna) of LaFayette, Alabama; one (1) son-in-law, Carey Smith, of Roanoke, AL; three (3) sisters: Betty Staples, Corene McCurty, and Kathleen Jones (Darren) all of Roanoke, AL; ten (10) grandchildren: Quinn Collins, Na'Kylia Allen, Mia Mosley, Luke'a Brown, Tuzdai Smith, Takeriouna Mosely, Ariyanna Mosley, Altravian Mosley, John Lemons, and Jonathan McCurty; and two (2) step-grandchildren, Taylon Hunter and Marquise Watkins; and finally a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
