With deepest sympathy, we regret to announce the passing from this life of Mrs. Laura Mae Ware, a resident of 63841 Alabama Highway 22, Roanoke, Alabama. Mrs. Ware transitioned from this life on Sunday evening, November 11, 2018 at her residence in Roanoke.
Public viewing and visiting hours for Mrs. Ware will be observed on Thursday, November 15, 2018 from 1:00 until 6:00 pm.
The Homegoing Service will be observed on Friday, November 16, 2018 at 1:00 pm at the Macedonia Baptist Church, 653 County Road 667, Roanoke, Alabama. Reverend Jeffery Henderson, Pastor, Pastor Terry Tucker, Officiating; with Dr. Jeffery Henderson serving as Eulogist.
Pall Bearers will include: Ponkey, James Dawson, Jarvis Henderson, Buck, Ron, Josh, and Jarard Ware
Serving as Flower Attendants will be: Nieces and Granddaughters.
Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery at Macedonia Baptist Church.
Mrs. Laura Mae Pate Ware was born in Roanoke, Randolph County, Alabama on January 8, 1930 to the parentage of the late Mr. Jimmy "Boss" Pate, and Letta (Taylor) Pate. She was married to the late Albert Ware.
To this union two girls were born. One daughter, Miss Linda Ware, preceded her in death.
At an early age, she joined Wehadkee Baptist Church where she was faithful in attendance until she was hurt in a car accident. She also worked for the late Dr. Ussery until injured in the automobile accident.
She was preceded in death by two (2) brothers, Henry "Pee" Pate, and Jimmy "Bubba" Pate; four (4) sisters: Myrtis Cunning, Mattie Kelley, Ethel Jay Cooper, and Tommie "Pet" Adamson; a daughter-in-law, Susie Mae Ware; a granddaughter, Debora Ann McFarland; and son, Hilluard Ware.
Laura transitioned from this life on Sunday evening, November 11, 2018 at her residence in Roanoke.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter and son-in-law, Virginia and Bobby Henderson of Roanoke, AL; eight (8) grandchildren: Dr. Jeffery Henderson (Stella) of LaGrange, GA, Jarvis Henderson (Angel), Calvin Ware and Jennifer Ware, all of Roanoke, AL, Hilluard "Buck" Ware (Sherry) of LaFayette, AL, Lisa Briskey (Frank) of Five Points, AL, Lasha Dawson of Opelika, AL, Romina Jean Griffin (Tony) of Hogansville, GA; four (4) special great grandchildren: Jeffery, Jontance, Jocyeline, and Joshua Henderson; ten (10) great grandchildren; four (4) nephews, six (6) nieces, and a host of cousins, friends, special people: Jackie McNeal, Samatha Heard, and Mary Bell.
