Kenneth Eugene Bledsoe Jr., age 61 and a lifelong resident of Roanoke, Alabama departed from this mortal life on June 16, 2023. Kenneth was born on August 27, 1961, to parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Eugene, (Sr.) and Catherine (Hairston) Bledsoe in Stamford, Connecticut where Kenneth spent most of his younger years.
Kenneth graduated from Westhill High School in Stamford, which opened many doors of opportunity for him. He was an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Army serving our grateful nation well for thirty-plus years. Kenneth lived in Atlanta, Georgia for some time. Kenneth was an intelligent man known — for his computer repair skills — as the “computer whiz”. Respected for his skill in working with his hands, Kenneth operated Plantation Patterns as a supervisor of welding and repair for fifteen years. Kenneth's most recent achievements included completing courses of study at Kaplan University in the field of Accounting. In 2013 he earned a Bachelor Of Science Degree in Accounting; later in 2014 earning a Master Of Science Degree in Accounting with a concentration in Tax; and in 2016 earning a Master Of Science Degree in Finance with a concentration in Financial Analysis. Kenneth was a Christian, having previously joined the Catholic Church where he learned the importance of loving people and the Lord.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his father Kenneth E. Bledsoe, Sr.; mother, Mrs. Catherine Hairston Bledsoe; and a sister, Kathy Bledsoe who welcomed him into his heavenly rest.
Memories of Kenneth E. Bledsoe, Jr. will be kept forever in the hearts of his children: sons, Jessie Wooton of Trumbull, CT, and Brandon Bledsoe of Bentonville, AR; daughter, Shannon Bledsoe and grandson, Aiden Bledsoe both of Stamford, CT; brother, Thurman Bledsoe of Newnan, GA; sisters: Ida Alexander and Myra Reynolds, both of Roanoke, Gwendolyn Watts of Bridgeport, CT; very devoted friends: Fred Tucker and Rochelle McGuire both of Roanoke; and finally but not least, a host of other family and friends to celebrate a life well lived.
