Mrs. Judy Magby Higgins, age 57, a resident of 923 Clark Street, Roanoke, Alabama, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at Wedowee, Hospital, Wedowee, Alabama.
Public Visiting and viewing hours for the late Mrs. Higgins will be observed on Friday, April 29, 2011, between the hours of 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM.
Mrs. Higgins will be in state at the Peace and Goodwill Baptist Church one hour prior to the funeral services.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Higgins will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at 1:00 O'Clock in the afternoon at Peace and Goodwill Baptist Church, 1465 Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive, Roanoke, Alabama, with the Pastor, Reverend L.B. Houston and Reverend Sanders Higgins officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining Cemetery at Peace and Goodwill Baptist Church in Roanoke.

Judy Magby was born in Roanoke, Randolph County, Alabama on December 30, 1953 to the parentage of the late Mary Magby and Alfred Hill, Sr.
Judy was raised by a church-going mother, the late Mary Magby, who saw to her becoming acquainted with the Lord, and she joined the Peace and Goodwill Baptist Church, Roanoke, where she remained a member until her passing.
Judy attended schools at Randolph County Training School, and later Handley High School in Roanoke, where she graduated. She united in marriage with Mr. Benny Higgins. She was employed at Candlewick Yarns in Roanoke, where she worked in the Twisting Department as a Cable Operator.
Judy departed this life on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at Wedowee Hospital in Wedowee, Alabama;
She leaves to cherish her loving memories her husband, Benny Higgins, of Roanoke, Alabama; two sons: Jason Higgins (Jackie) of Clover, Alabama; Cedrick Heard of Roanoke, Alabama; and one daughter, Twila Houston of Roanoke, Alabama; father, Alfred Hill, Sr. of Roanoke, Alabama; fours brothers: Alfred Hill, Jr. (Maggie), David Hill and Lamar Pyne (Brenda) all of Roanoke, Alabama, and James Hill (Wanda) of Virginia Beach, Virginia; three sisters: Mary L. Hairston, Melmer Trammell (Adolphus) and Angela Hatcher all of Roanoke, Alabama; four (4) grandchildren: Yasmin Houston, Ke'Shun Burden, Briana Burden, and Kerrianna Burden all of Roanoke, Alabama; her in-laws: Ernest Higgins (Nell) of Warner Robbins, Georgia, Willie Higgins (Dorothy), Reverend Sanders Higgins (Shelia), Myra Higgins, and Jimmy Lee Higgins (Nancy) all of Milltown, Alabama; and special friends of the family: Thairus Poythress and Frederick Poythress, Tommy Clark, Sonia Jones, Felicia Nolan (Tony) all of Roanoke, Alabama; finally a host of other loving relatives and friends.
