With deepest regret, we announce the passing of Brother Henry Lewis Smith, age 65, a resident of 1231 Stanley Avenue, Roanoke, Randolph County, Alabama 36274.
Mr. Smith transitioned from this life on Friday afternoon, September 5, 2014 at his residence in Roanoke.
There will be no Public viewing for Mr. Smith, however, friends may visit the remains and sign the register on Tuesday, September 8, 2014, between the hours of 12:00 Noon and 6:00 PM.
Funeral services for Mr. Smith will be observed on Wednesday, September 10, 2014, at 11:00 O'Clock A.M. at Pure Holiness Church Of God, 1407 Satterwhite Street, Roanoke, Alabama. Elder John C. Greathouse will officiate.
Burial will follow immediately after the services in Skyview Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Five Points, Alabama.

THE OBITUARY
Mr. Henry Lewis Smith was born was born in Chambers, County, Alabama on May 15, 1949, to the parentage of the late John Will Smith and Corena McCurty.
He grew up and attended school at the Randolph County Training School, in Roanoke, Alabama. He was a member of the Pure Holiness Church of God in Roanoke, Alabama, and one of the founders of The Christian Travelers of Roanoke, Alabama.
In addition to his parents, Henry Lewis was preceded in death by one brother, Willie McCurty, and one sister, Donna McCurty. Henry Lewis lived and worked in Atlanta, Georgia for several years, but with declining health, he moved back home, and departed this life on Friday, September 5, at his residence on Stanely Avenue, in Roanoke, Alabama.
He leaves to cherish many loving memories: one son Henry Lewis Smith, Jr., of Wedowee, Alabama and daughter, Tamara Smith Wood of Palmetto, Georgia; four brothers: Curtis McCurty (Blanche) of Kyle, Texas, Huey Lee McCurty of Atlanta, Georgia, George McCurty (Jacqueline), of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Jessie James; and three sisters: Geneva Shears of Atlanta, Georgia, Betty J. Foster of Tuskegee, Alabama and Diane Tigner (Keir) of Roanoke, Alabama; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
