With deepest regret we announce the passing from this life of our long-time friend and neighbor, Mr. Forrest Morgan, Jr., also known as "Mojoe" age 61, a resident of 327 Wilkie Clark Drive in Roanoke, Alabama.
Public viewing and visiting hours for Mr. Morgan will be observed on Sunday, September 9, 2018 from 1:00 until 6:00 pm here at the funeral home.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, September 10, 2018 at 1:00 pm at First Baptist Church, 549 Riley Street, Roanoke, Alabama, with Reverend Calvin Trammell Officiating, and the Pastor, Reverend Gilbert Staples serving as Eulogist. Other ministers sharing the roster will include Bishop Lathonia J. Wright, Reverend Jeffery D. Rosser, and Reverend Willie C. Houston.
Burial will follow in Skyview Memorial Gardens Cemetery, U.S. Highway 431 South, Five Points, Alabama.

IN LOVING MEMORY OF FORREST MORGAN, JR.
Forrest Morgan, Jr., whom we all fondly know as "Mojoe" was born August 10, 1957, in Roanoke, Randolph County, Alabama to the parentage of Mrs. Ester Lee (Shears) Morgan and the late Forrest Morgan, Sr.
He grew up and remained in the historic East Roanoke community, where he attended Handley High School. During high school, "MoJoe" was a highly regarded athlete, participating in the football, basketball, and baseball programs.
At an early age, he joined First Baptist Church, where he was baptized, and remained a member throughout life.
As a teenager, around age 17, "Mojoe" enlisted in the Alabama Army National Guard. The date was February 7, 1979. He honorably served our grateful nation until he retired in 2014. He was affiliated with the 117th FA CORPS." He served honorably earning the following Awards and Decorations: Global War On Terrorism Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, Army Service Ribbon, and finally the Army Achievement Medal. He was honorably discharged July 11, 2014, having achieved the rank of SPC.
At various times in his life, Mojoe worked as a welder at Plantation Patterns in Wadley, Wal Mart, and in the Textile industry in LaGrange.
The "Love of his life" was Katherine Walls, with whom he d a loving home, and raised a family. They remained together for more than 29 years.
"Mojoe" was preceded in death by a son, Cedric Young August 19, 2004. He transitioned from this life on Monday, September 3, 2018. He was at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama.
He leaves to cherish many fond memories, his beloved wife, Katherine, and his devoted mother, Ester Lee Morgan; two (2) sons: Tevin Morgan (Ravan Nunn) and Kevin Morgan (La'Shay Johnson) all of Roanoke AL; and three (3) daughters: Eurika Foster of Beijing, China, Brianna Hodge (Nealious) of Opelika AL, and Candace Morgan (Travis Owensby) of Roanoke AL; four (4) grandchildren: Demareus Hodge, Landon Morgan, Levi Morgan and Khloe Morgan.
Mojoe was one of six brothers including Oscar Shears of Atlanta GA, Thomas Shears (Davina) of Austin TX, Orlando Shears (Helen) of Roanoke AL, Leroy Morgan (Quincy) and Jerry Morgan (Sandra Smith) both of LaGrange GA; and three (3) sisters: Lula Culberson (John) of Lithonia GA, Sandra Bell (Mack Arthur) and Belinda Morgan (Rodney Heflin) both of Roanoke AL.
Lastly but not least, he will be missed by his three (3) uncles: Johnny Frank Morgan, and Bobby Mack Morgan Raymond Shears; seven (7) aunts: Mary Dorothy Baker, Sharon Morgan, Linda Morgan, Dotty Rue Morgan, Mildred Patillo, Harriet Shears and Leola Allen of Roanoke, Alabama, and Emma Morgan of Chicago, Illinois; and finally but not least, three (3) sisters-in-law: Radean Pool (Eric), Gloria Romero (Mateo) and Doris Meadows all of Daviston, Alabama; many other loving relatives, neighbors and friends.
