David Bell Obituary

  • Mr. David Solomon Bell, age 31, a resident of 2316 10th Court South, Birmingham, (Jefferson County) Alabama, passed away on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at University Of Alabama Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama.
  • Public Visitation and Viewing Hours for the late Mr. Bell will be observed on Friday, July 6, 2012, between the hours of 12:00 NOON and 6:00 PM. The family will observe family hour from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on the evening before the services.
  • Funeral Services for the late Mr. Bell will be held Saturday, July 7, 2012, at 1:00 O'Clock P.M. at Deliverance Temple Church of the Living God, 779 Strozier Street, Roanoke, Alabama. Elder Mark Phillips is Pastor. Pastor Ollie Gunn, of Wilkes Christian Walk Church, Midfield, Alabama, will serve as Eulogist.
  • Burial will follow in the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery, 653 County Road 667, Roanoke, Alabama.
The Obituary

David Solomon Bell was born in Birmingham, Alabama on October 19, 1980, to the parentage of Fred Bell and Debra Cheaton. David is the grandson of the late E.S. and Zera Bell of Roanoke and Geraldine Cheaton of South Bend, Indiana and the late Earl Cheaton. At age 9, he confessed Christ and was baptized.

David attended Columbia High School in Decatur, Georgia where he was both a football and basketball star. He attended Concordia College in Selma, Alabama where he also played football.

He was an active member of the Wilkes Christian Walk Church in Midfield, Alabama.

David departed this life on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at the University of Alabama Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama.

He leaves to celebrate his life, mourn his passing and cherish many fond and loving memories, his parents, Mr. Fred Bell (Malinda) of Riverdale, Georgia, and Mrs. Debra Cheaton Bell of College Park, Georgia; his grandmother, Mrs. Geraldine Cheaton of South Bend, Indiana; two brothers: John C. Bell of College Park, Georgia, Fred S. Bell (LaShundra) of Stone Mountain, Georgia; two sisters: Shanequa Gay of Riverdale, Georgia, and Deborah Bell of Atlanta, Georgia; nephews, Yasir Shakur and Fred S. Bell, Jr., and nieces: Arreion Zhane Bell and Aleah Bell.

There are a great host of aunts, uncles, a large number of loving cousins, and other relatives and friends who will miss David also.

The Bell family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made toward the funeral expenses. Donations may be tendered directly to Clark Memorial Funeral Service in Roanoke, Alabama; or they may be made directly through Paypal at www.clarkmemorial.biz.
