Charlie Harrison Obituary

With profound sadness, the Harrison families of Alabama, Georgia and Florida announce the passing from this life of their father, brother, uncle, and special friend, Reverend Charlie Joe Harrison, 65, a native of Roanoke, and current resident of Dallas, GA.  Mr. Harrison transitioned from this life on Friday, September 30, 2022. 

Charlie Joe Harrison was born in Roanoke Alabama, on October 14, 1956, to the parentage of the late Willie and Rosie Lee Harrison.

Charlie grew up in Randolph County, attending Randolph County Training School and later graduating from Randolph County High in Wedowee, AL, in 1975.

Charlie joined the Navy on August 1,1979, Where he served his country faithfully for a few years. During his tenure he received a Navy Expeditionary Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, and a Meritorious X Unit Commendation.

Later, he attended Opelika Technical College where he received a certificate for upholstery. He graduated from Carver College where he received an Associate of Arts Degree in Biblical Studies and achieved the Doulos Distinguished Service Award.

His first church home, Macedonia Baptist Church, is where he was first ordained and received the call to preach the word of God, under the leadership of Rev. BJ Jackson.

On March 21, 2010 he was ordained as a Pastor at Kingdom Rock Family Worship Center in Bremen,GA.

He was a member of the Elizabeth Baptist Church in Douglasville,GA.

He was the founder of The Last Call Outreach Ministry.

Sadly, Charlie transitioned into eternal life on Friday, September 30, 2022.

On that day, he reunited with his parents and siblings; Willie Harrison Sr.,

Rosie Lee Harrison, Willie Maude Harrison, Johnnie Mae Bowen, Hubert Harrison, Annie Pearl Dunson, Willie Harrison Jr., Billie Harrison, Mary Staples, Charlie Ester, Myrtis Slaughter, Marvin Ester Sr., Ruby Gilmore, Green Ester, Roy Ester,

Luther Ester

Charlie Joe leaves many memories to be shared and cherished by;

Terrell (Aiysha) Thrower of Broxton, GA, Candace (Leonard) Johnson and Lelane Trammell of Roanoke, AL, Tristan Pool of LaGrange, GA,

Angelica Trammell, Antonio Trammell, and Ayneka Marable of Roanoke, AL,

Dalvin Johnson of Gadsden, AL. Sisters: Pastor Ruby Jean (Samuel) Christian of Atlanta,GA, Martha Johnson of Roanoke,AL, and Brenda Harrison of Elk Hart,IN. Additionally, Charlie has (18) grandchildren; (8) great-grandchildren; and many other loving nieces,nephews, family and friends.
