Reflections Of Life

Those whom we hold most dear, never truly leave us.
They live on in the kindness they showed the comfort they d
and the love they bought into our lives
.

Mrs. Annie Elizabeth Pate (Bittie Woman) was born July 30, 1933 to the parentage of the late John Tom and Daisy Lee Busbee in Randolph County, Alabama. Bittie, age 79, entered into eternal peace on Monday, July 15, 2013 at Care One Personal Care Home in Lithonia, Georgia.

Bittie confessed Christ at an early age and joined Rocky Mount Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Randolph County Training School. On January 8, 1954 she united in holy matrimony to the late Ceroy Pate. Bittie was a loving and caring person who was always willing to help others in any way she could. In her early working career, she worked as a Duval County bus driver where she worked with kids with special needs. Her passion was cooking, and she enjoyed feeding anyone who wanted to eat some of her delicious food. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and loved others as her very own.

She is preceded in death by her parents John Tom and Daisy Lee Busbee, her husband Ceroy Pate, her brothersa Manley Gay and John Will Busbee, and her special niece, Vivian Ann Strogler. Bittie leaves to cherish her memory and celebrate her legacy: (1) sister, Tommie Lee Reese of Jacksonville, FL, (7) children, Charles Pate (LaTrelle) of Lithonia, GA, Valarie Joann Addison (Joe) of Columbia, SC, Phyllis Pate, Kenitra “Katie” Bryant (Benny), both of Lithonia, GA, Ricky Pate (Renetta) of Highlands Ranch, CO, Garry Pate (Sherina) of Lilburn, GA, Lersey “Vickie” McClendon (Vincent) of Covington, GA; (16) Grandchildren (Terrence, Jo-Jo, Jamerrell, LaKeisha, C.D., Anthony, Tamara, Niya, Shaneice, Aubriana, John, Tashari, Zachariah, Justice, Maxwell, and Makenzie, (18) Great-Grandchildren, (2) Very Special Aunts, Lera Longshore and Fannie Busbee, both of Atlanta, GA; (1) brother-in-law, Eddie Pate of Dayton, OH; A special God-sister Betty Joiner (Robert) of Roanoke, AL; Many, many special nieces nephews (too many to name, she loved each and every one of you), and a host of other loving family and friends.

At this most difficult time, the family would like to thank God for the Peace and Goodwill Baptist Church Choir, The Mount Bethel United Methodist Church, and a very special thanks to the Joiner and Bryant families, and for the many family, friends, and loved ones who care and have shown concerns. Your prayers, flowers, expressions of sympathy and other deeds are appreciated!

May God Bless You!
