With deepest regret, we announce the passing from this life of Mr. Angelo Nolan, 59, of 519 Border Street, Roanoke, Alabama. Mr. Nolan transitioned from this life on Friday morning, June 15, 2018. He was at Roanoke Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, in Roanoke, Alabama.
Angelo Nolan was born in Roanoke, Randolph County, Alabama, on January 30, 1959 to the parentage of the late Harold Nolan, Sr., and Helen (Gray) Nolan.
Angelo confessed faith in Jesus Christ, was baptized and joined First Baptist Church, where he attended regularly and remained a member throughout his life.
Though Angelo was limited in some ways, his capacity for humility, soft-spokenness and compassion was unlimited. He had many practical skills that made him a beloved and cherished member of this family. He was what some would call a "private person". But, as all of us do, he had his ways.
There were two or three things he was passionate about in life: Angelo loved music, and he loved taking care of the younger ones in both his immediate and extended family. Angelo's family will forever remember him as the family caregiver, and nurterer. Having him in the home was like having a live-in nanny. He was much like the older brother; caring for his younger siblings; then later for his nieces and nephews. He cooked for them and tended to all their needs and wants. Lastly, he enjoyed fishing.
Angelo was preceded in death by three (3) sisters: Betty J. Nolan, Martha J. Tucker and Beulah M. Foster; and three (3) brothers: Harold Nolan, Jr., James Nolan and Ronnie Nolan; and his parents, Harold and Helen Nolan.
He transitioned from this life on Friday morning June 15, 2018. He was at Roanoke Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Roanoke, Alabama, surrounded by his family.
He leaves to cherish many fond memories: two (2) sisters: Catherine White and Dicie Sims, both of Roanoke, Alabama; one (1) brother, Walter Nolan (Barbara) of Roanoke, Alabama; and a great host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
