Leanora (Ware) Grady

Mrs. Leanora Ware Grady, age 84, was born September 16, 1935, to the parentage of the late Mr. Ebernezer Ware and  Mrs. Thelma Almon Ware. Her siblings were Fred Houston of Pittsburgh, PA. and Wilma Jean Houston Pogue of Anniston, AL. 

She was married to Staff Sergeant 1st Class Joe Frank Grady born in Welch Alabama, in 1966 in Fort Lawton Oklahoma. She had 3 children: Aundra R. Grady (deceased), "Joe" Frank Grady Jr., and Gwendolyn Grady (Jerdaryll).

Leanora graduated from RCTS.  When she resided in Anniston, she was an active member of the bowling team. She loved bowling and her family dearly. She loved crafts, sewing, laughing and speaking the word.  She was an active member of the Eastern Stars.

For many years, Leanora worked Fort McClellan, where she met her best friend ever, Mrs. Barbara Carter, to this day their friendship never ended up until 1:30 pm -- her time of death -- on Tuesday, December 31, 2019.  Leanora lived in Roanoke with her daughter Gwendolyn until her passing.

Her cherished legacy will be further kept alive by her 15 Grandchildren as follows:  Joe Jr's Children Include: Audejia Royal, Alerica Meadows, and Karson Grady; Aundra Grady's Children include:  Michael Grady, Kristi Grady-Digby, Cecolia Willis, Aundra T. Grady, Shanice Grady, Jayla Spratling, Shantia Spratling, Candace Spartling-Johnson, Debbie Parker Lewis, Yabreka Nunn; and Gwendolyn Grady's Children include: Thomas Dourvoisier McCray and Joaquin B Grady;  moreover there are 13 great-grandchildren; and she leaves a legacy in Anniston, Alabama at Joy View Heights as a Community Mom; and a host of loving relatives neighbors and friends both in Anniston, AL and in Roanoke, AL.
