Lorenza White, Jr. Obituary

The White and Nolan families of Roanoke, are deeply saddened to share the devastating news that our beloved son, brother, nephew and uncle, Lorenza Earl White affectionately known to friends and family as "Bud", 57, has passed from this life.  Bud transitioned from this life on Wednesday evening, October 25 at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center in Lagrange. He was a native, life-long resident, and familiar face in the historic "East Roanoke" community. We are heartbroken over this loss, and praying for strength to endure his absence from our family circle.  One of the highlights of his life was his high school years, playing football for Handley High.  We ask that our community please keep our family in your prayers as we struggle to accept this loss.

In Loving Memory Of Lorenza Earl "Bud" White, Jr.

Lorenza Earl White Jr. affectionately known as “Bud” passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2023. Bud was a lifelong resident of Roanoke, Alabama, born on May 26, 1966, to Mr. Lorenza White Sr. and Mrs. Catherine Nolan White.

As a native of Roanoke, Bud attended and graduated from Handley High School, where he played football for the Handley Tigers. Bud was no stranger to hard work. He was employed at the Plantation Patterns in Wadley, where he worked in the shipping department. He was a skilled and trained laborer in aluminum manufacturing.  His proficiency in this craft gained him employment with the Franklin Aluminum Company in Franklin, Georgia. Bud confessed faith in Christ. Among the many things Bud was known for was his love of music.

On October 25, 2023, Bud made his journey into God’s Paradise being welcomed by his late father, Mr. Lorenza White Sr.  Bud’s life and legacy will be remembered by his loving mother, Catherine White of Roanoke, Alabama; one proud son, Chris Battle of Anniston, Alabama; three sisters: Brenda Ware (Jimmy), Patricia Lee (Raymond) and Helen Woods (London) all of Roanoke, AL; two brothers: Dennis White of Cusseta, AL and Kennis White of Roanoke; a devoted friend, Terrell Johnson of Roanoke;  a special friend, Ms. LaWanda Spencer and very special aunt, Dicie Sims of Roanoke; a host of relatives and friends to celebrate his life, mourn his passing, and share many wonderful memories and blessings by having known and loved Bud.
